Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before we begin.

Therapy & Licensing

Which states do you currently serve?
I am currently licensed to provide online therapy to residents of Texas, Florida, and California. Due to state licensing regulations, you must be physically located in one of these states at the time of our session.

How do I book a session?
Booking is simple, secure, and self-led, just as healing should be. Through my Simple Practice portal, you can view my availability and schedule your initial consultation at a time that feels right for you. Click the 'Request Appointment'

How do I file a formal complaint or verify your license?
Your rights and peace of mind matter deeply to me. I believe in full transparency. You can find direct links to the licensing regulatory boards for Texas, Florida, and California on my Legal/Disclosures Page. You should always feel safe and informed in this relationship.

Telehealth & Tech Setup

What do I need for our virtual sessions?
All you need is a private, quiet space, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone, whether that is a phone, tablet, or computer. Sessions are held through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform via SimplePractice.

What if I have technical difficulties during a session?
Technology is not always perfect, and that is okay. If we get disconnected, I will reach out to you via your preferred contact method to reconnect or, if needed, continue the session by phone. It helps to have your phone nearby just in case.

Do I need to create an account anywhere?
You will receive a secure client portal link through Simple Practice when you book. From there you can complete intake paperwork, access session links, and manage appointments, all in one place.

Fees & Investment

What is your session fee?
Individual therapy sessions are $150 to $250, depending on session type and length. I believe investing in your inner world is one of the most powerful decisions you can make. Payment is due at the time of service through the secure client portal.

Do you take insurance?
I am in-network with most major insurance plans. To confirm your specific coverage before our first session, I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly or reaching out to me and we can look into it together. I recommend contacting your provider ahead of time to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits.

Confidentiality & Privacy

Is everything I share kept confidential?
Yes. What you share in our sessions is held with the utmost care and is protected by law. There are a few legal exceptions, such as imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, or suspected abuse of a minor or vulnerable adult, which I will walk you through during our first session so there are no surprises.

Is the telehealth platform secure?
Absolutely. I use SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant platform built specifically for healthcare providers. Your sessions, records, and personal information are encrypted and protected.

How is my personal information stored and used?
Your information is stored securely within my practice management system and is never sold or shared with third parties outside of legally required circumstances. You will receive a full Privacy Practices notice before we begin working together.

What to Expect in Sessions

What happens during the first session?
Our first session is a sacred space of introduction. I will ask questions to understand your story, what brought you here, and what you are hoping to cultivate through our work together. There is no pressure to have it all figured out. Just come as you are.

What modalities or approaches do you use?
My approach is holistic and integrative, meeting you where you are and drawing from evidence-based practices that support real, lasting change. The modalities I use include:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) -- Helps you identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns that affect how you feel and behave.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) -- Builds skills around emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthier relationships.
Exposure Therapy -- A gentle, structured approach to help you gradually face and reduce fear or avoidance tied to specific triggers.

Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) -- An evidence-based model designed to help process traumatic experiences and rebuild a sense of safety and empowerment.

How long does therapy typically last?
Healing is not linear, and there is no one-size-fits-all timeline. Some clients work with me for a focused few months; others choose a longer journey of ongoing growth. We will regularly check in on your progress and adjust our work together as you evolve.

What if therapy is not the right fit?
That is a completely valid outcome, and I will never hold you to something that does not serve you. If we determine I am not the best match for your needs, I will do my best to connect you with someone who is. Your wellbeing comes first, always.

The Untamed Shop

Who is the Guided Journal for?
The Untamed Journey Guided Journal was created specifically for healing professionals, therapists, medical providers, first responders, and others in helping roles who spend so much of themselves caring for others. If you are navigating burnout, compassion fatigue, or simply craving a space that is just yours, this journal was made with you in mind. It is available for nationwide shipping through my Shopify store, no therapy relationship required.

I am a helping professional struggling with burnout. Where do I start?
You give so much, and you deserve support too. The Untamed Journey Guided Journal is a gentle first step, designed to help you reconnect with yourself outside of your role. If you are ready to go deeper, I also work with helping professionals in therapy and understand the unique weight that comes with this calling. You do not have to hold it alone.

The Nomad Life

Why the 'Nomad' lifestyle?
My journey involves building this practice and creating content from ever-changing landscapes, and that is entirely intentional. Being in motion keeps me present, curious, and connected to something larger than routine. That aliveness is what I bring into every session, and I hope it gives you permission to design a life that fits you, not the other way around!
